The customer support representative I spoke with has a small set of outcomes generated depending on your warranty, seems logical. I've never in my day had a representative I've contacted for support/help/a better understanding of the issue for my own knowledge tell me "it sounds like you need a new one". I was explaining to her my issues and hoping I had a reason to. I contacted Magnavox hoping they knew more about it than I, and that they might teach me a thing or two. Any other support center I've contacted has tought me about my product and gave me the knowledge to make my own decision. The girl went as far as to tell me she "can't snap her fingers and magically come up with some answers". They had no one she would let me talk to about the TV. I'll give them credit, it didn't sound like the representative was outsourced over seas or anything but for the love of something I've talked to Hadji in India who had the tools to teach me more about my problem.
Good luck. Never buying Magnavox again.
