I got the number by going to Google and typing in the box ( Classmate.com phone number for refund. Read some of the complaints and in some of them, they mention the phone number.

2003-2010 law suit - Classmate's lost and has to pay back millions. I threaten to give them the nastiest review on yelp and told them that what they did was out and out stealing. Under no circumstaces would I give anybody access to my credit card to renew. They snuck it in without my knowledge and that is illegal. I did get my refund , But, only after calling several times and getting hung-up once. I just kept calling back.
I joined Classmates today and after they charged my credit card I still cannot get into it. When I do get in they ask me join and upgrade! I cannot find a phone number to complain about this and get a refund. If anyone has any information please let me know. I'm not paying another dime to these people!
Who do you contact to get your refund?? I can not find any contact information on them.
It's obvious that this website is a scamming operation, it should be reported to someone but who?
I also had my $39 refunded then on the same daay they charged me again.....what??? How can a company return your charge then within the same breath charge you again???
RIPP OFF!!!!
They stole $15 from me. They were supposed to notify me BEFORE the auto-renew would take effect, but they didn't, so the charge went through. The day after the charge went through, I contacted them, but they would not refund. This is pure robbery! I am currently trying to do a chargeback with my credit card company.
I agree with everyone. Why is this company still in business?
I see posts from Sept. of 2010 and people are still getting ripped off today. How do we stop these thieves? P.S. most people search or phone number search companies do the same thing. It's a d___ shame.
As with most of these websites, they take your credit card number and enroll you into the monthly automated renewal without your knowledge or consent. But, most others have a phone number that you can call and talk to apo in india about your account. I wish I could get people to send me money without knowing about it...the interest alone would make me rich.
I was billed and there was not credit card on file with Classmates. When there is not card on file there is not way to stop auto billing. Were did they get a card number? also there is not email access to the company. all links are broken. Thic company is a SCAM COMPANY BOYCOTT IT.
you are right on I was looking at my Checking account and there was a reacuring payment for Classmates taken out> tryed to Cancel but there was no where to do that. Thank you for showing and putting this out there on the web.

Also a follow up to my comment yesterday....interesting, the person I talked to was also Dominique..and she told me the exact same thing, "I'll make an exception this time". Isn't it interesting how they refuse to cooperate with those whom they've cheated and robbed, until they're faced with a threat of legal action. I told her I intended to call the office of the California state Atty. General's office...it was then that she was all ears and apologetic. My bank has refunded the amount Classmates took out of my account..filed a claim against them and has put a permanent "Hold" against any more withdrawals from my bank account. I would suggest that everyone do this same thing.....only way to keep these crooks in check.
This morning while checking my bank statement, I noticed another unauthorized charge of $39.00 by Classmates.com Because this has happened twice before after telling them to cancel my membership...I changed my debit card number and got a new card. Somehow they learned my new number and did it again. Fortunately, my bank informed me that they would reinstate the money into my account and file a claim against Classmates. But that alone is not good enough...I intend to contact the California Atty. General's office about it. These thieves need to be stopped and their personnel belong in the penitentiary. Spread the word to all and anyone who you feel might be tempted to join Classmates
An update to the comment I posted a few minutes ago. I called these guys back a second time and was very calm and cool. I explained to a nice lady calling herself Dominic that I was surfing the net and found hundreds of postings about their billing practices and was headed to the bank in the morning to file a fraud complaint. She told me that they would make an exception this one time and refund my money. We shall see. I also got her to agree to delete my entire profile from these fraudsters website.
Just in case anyone wants it the number I called. (206)301-5900
I notice a $15 charge on my debit card that I did not authorize from these fraudsters. I did authorize a one time charge three months ago and it was taken. I did not authorize any further charges. I called them today and when I asked them politley to reverse the charge I was told that was not possible. I ask him a little more firmly to reverse the charge and he hung up on me.
In case any one else wants to try their phone number is (206)301-5900
I did call my bank and they did put a stop future paymets on these shysters. I used to have an accout with classmates years ago and they never did anything like this to me.
File a complain with the Federal Trade Commission (www.ftc.gov).

If enough people do this, perhaps they will change their bank-robbing practices. They already had one class-action lawsuit, now they will be getting another...from me!
I too was sucked in by people wanting to contact me. They charged me 15.00 to join, nothing about renewals or additional billing, nothing. Today I checked my bank account and found that they billed me 15.00 on my card, without notification. Late in August is when I signed up, and now I have been billed 15.00 again. So I guess that with everyone fighting the yearly billing of 39.90, they are now going to charge the rest of us idiots approximately 60.00 a year, 4 15.00 payments to make up for the refunds they are sending. I need to get this account closed asap, I cannot afford this. And you are also correct that this is a worthless site.
Today I noticed a $39.00 renewal few for classmates.com on my credit card..Total B.S. I found the site to be a total joke when I signed up a few years ago..I never opted for any automatic renewal and haven't even visited the site in atleast a year. I left an email stating my disgust with Memory Lane's billing practices. I can see I am not alone. Will proceed further if I do not get satisfactory results and a refund.
I commented earlier after realizing I was receiving $39.00 charges when I definitely did cancel Classmates after only one year - several years ago. I was livid, called the new owner MEMORY LANE only to receive several odd messages as to why they were not available to come to the phone, and I called my credit card company. I am not letting this drop, because you know they won't reimburse us. They'll say we signed up for renewal when I know for a fact, I did cancel, opt out, and I took my credit card off. Since they have the card, I'm addressing this as Internet Fraud, and I'll report it to the FBI along with anyone and everyone associated with what I found, and I suggest you do the same. If nothing else, it will help stop this type of practice. Here's the company that owns the company that now owns Classmates, and they do have stock, so ... if they took your money, start contacting everyone associated with:
United Online, Inc. (Nasdaq: UNTD) is a leading provider of consumer products and services over the Internet, where the company's brands have attracted a large online audience that includes more than 60 million registered accounts. The company's offerings include floral related products and services (FTD and Interflora) for consumers and retail florists. The company's Content & Media segment services are online nostalgia (Memory Lane) and online loyalty marketing (MyPoints). Its primary Communications segment services are Internet access and email (NetZero and Juno).
called my credit card company and put a block on the company. let them deal with that. M.F's.
After two emails telling me that I couldn't get a refund, I emailed back saying that I would be filing fraud paperwork at my bank. I got an email back two days ago saying that they were refunding all but two dollars to cover the time since the renewal. I figure two dollars is worth the time I spent getting the refund. So if the charge came off of your check/debit card, email them and tell them that you're going to your bank to file fraud paperwork!
Memory Lane bought Classmates.com and has taken all non-renewing accounts and put them on automatic renewal. I wrote the company and they told me that their website says there are no refunds. The only problem is I NEVER WENT TO THEIR WEBSITE. I did sign up for one year of Classmates.com three years ago but opted out of the repeat billing. Memory Lane very deceitfully changed my account status and charged me $39.00. I am asserting that Classmates.com / Memory Lane fraudulently changed my account to automatic rebilling and that they changed the expiration date on my Debit card on file in order to make the fraudulent charge. I have found hundreds of similar complaints online claiming the same thing.
Just noticed an unauthorized $39 charge on my Discover bill. Discover told me I was on an "automatic" billing, They provided me with a phoene number. After I complained and said I report them to Discover, the promised to refund $35 of the amount. We'll see! If I don't receive the refund, I wioll be sure to pester the company in any way possible. Incidentally, it is a perfectly useless site!
I just found out today that they took $39.00 out of my bank account. I never approved an automatic renewal of a membership that I didn't even remember having! If they don't refund my money, I'm going to go to my bank and fill out fraud paperwork against them. If enough people do the same thing, somebody will start taking notice!
Supposedly my money is being refunded after disputing through Amex and sending an email to Classmates.com threatening to report them to every social networking site I belong to as well as the Attorney General's office, the Better Business Bureau and the Federal Trade Commission. I still want to spread consumer awareness about their shady practices.
I can’t believe I had to come to another website to find a customer service phone number. I have been sending emails for the past two days. I was charge 39.00 on 2/20/11 for my membership I did not even want. They said I was listed under Auto renewal which was a lie because I never sign up for Auto anything only manual. Since they are closed today I will be calling tomorrow to try and get a refund.
I have files a complaint against CLASSMATES.COM with the Better Business Bureau. I suggest everyone else do the same.
I just got ripped off by Classmates.com also. They claim that I authorized auto renewal years ago. Apparently they have been doing this every year but I didn't notice. They refuse to refund charge even though I had no notice by email or any other contact and no activity on my account. Don't even know how to sign in! Called my credit card company and filed a fraud claim. Now they will NOT get their money!!
Same here getting a credit from them is like pulling teeth. I see from all the other comments that I am not alone.
i found out about the charge when i did my online banking. they refuse to refund the charge even though it was not authorized as i put in manual payment.this is not the first time i have this issue with them..i cancelled them several years ago due to this issue..guess i got sucked in again. Their no email and nonrefunable policies have much to be desired by the consumer...so consumers be wary...
I'm in the same boat. My account renewed yesterday and I emailed them this morning. I only found out because I had done some online banking. Even though the renewal was only a few hours old, they have, thus far, refused to process a refund. This is very, very deceptive - bad, bad, bad... Spread the word!

Same here. They charged me the $39.99 (unauthorized and unwanted). I called today and after getting the same answer, I asked for a supervisor. They are reversing charges of $35. which isn't completely satisfactory, but at least I'll have that back. Still will join in the fight and help to spread the word on all my social network venues.
I will put their name out on facebook everyday until I get my money back and cancel
They got me as of today 12-09-10 for 39.00 they never contacted me and asked if I wanted to renew and when I inquired they just sent an automatic email response with no contact number!
I signed up for the $9.95 trial last year since it was my 30 year reunion. There was nothing about auto-renewal, any change in pricing or that my credit card information was going to be retained for this purpose. Phone calls did nothing and neither did emails. They claim I agreed to all of their "terms of service". Rather difficult when they were never there to agree to. I have since contacted my credit card company to report this as an unauthorized, fraudulent charge. When I asked why I didn't receive an email for renewal, they said that most people prefer not to be bothered with extra paperwork or emails. HA! But Classmates.com can spam the crap out of me with their b.s. emails about people wanting to contact me which is why I even did the $9.95 Trial. No, no one was trying to contact me. Once this is settled, I am deleting my account from Classmates.com.
Let us band together for a class action lawsuit send contact information to [email protected] along with a very short event calender of when they took the money and the amount and any comments they made
I,TOO, AM TRYING TO GET A REFUND. THEY CHARGED ME TWICE IN ONE DAY FOR A ONE YEAR MEMBERSHIP. NOW NO ONE WILL ANSWER MY EMAILS. I WILL BE CALLING THE BBB TOMORROW TO FILE A COMPLAINT. THEY ARE ALREADY INVOLVED IN A CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT FOR THIS VERY REASON. THINK THEY WOULD LEARN, DON'T YOU?
This company took $39.99 out of my pocket and CALLED ME to return it. Don't take no for an answer. Call every number and every executive personally. Email your states Attorney General. Act like your crazy.
Heres my list of numbers - if they say no - go to the directory and randomly dial names ..

Don't give up !!! They don't want to deal with you .
Same as everyone else....took 39 buck and will only return 30....Wrong just plain wrong
I didn't choose the renewal option but they got addtional money from me and refused to refund it. File complaints with the B.B.B., they are based out of Seattle, Washington, complain to the States Attorney and keep posting your rip off stories online everywhere you can. Don't stop complaining until they are out of business! Use Facebook it's free.
Awful business pratices - never dealt with such a crooked company - if you Google the parent company - United Online- it's rampant with complaints.
I had my account set to manual also and $39 was taken out of my account also. I am contacting my BBB tomorrow!!
No email, no advise of Classmates automatically renewing subscription!!! Site is not even worth free usage since it does not deliver what is advertised!!! Instead of gripping do something about it. Phone, write your BBB in your State and in Washington State where they are officially located.
